Description

For sale is a very rare 1st U.K. mono copy of The Beatles’ iconic album - Revolver.

The first short-lived mono issue had the incorrect mix of Tomorrow Never Knows on side 2 and that side has the matrix XEX 606-1. John Lennon spotted the error and the pressing had to stop while they created the correct side 2 lacquer with matrix XEX 606-2.

Original sleeve - the much rarer Ernest J Day version- is on superb condition. One of the best I have seen.

Original paper inner sleeve is VG.

Record side 1 is VG visually and sonically. Would have been VG+ or better but has a mark (see photo) which causes light ticks for the first half of track 2. Otherwise it plays beautifully.

Side 2 is visually and sonically VG+ with just occasional light crackles.

Very early 1GH/1GP stampers.
