Description
I have for sale one copy of The Beatles' REVOLVER. This is a rare MONO 1st pressing Vinyl from 1966, PMC 7009.
The Matrix Numbers (which confirm that it's a first pressing) are;
Side One matrix: XEX 605-2
Side Two matrix: XEX 606-1
In the run-out groove Side one has a "5" on one side and "ML" oppossite. Side 2 has 4 and MG (I think!) on it. The letters K and T and embossed either side of the spindle hole (I think this is the Tax Code). There ARE a few "spindle marks" around the centre, but they can only be seen when held up to the light!
I just been looking at completed items exactly the same as this on Ebay. Apparently, this is a VERY RARE version of the record! From what I understand (and please do as I did and check out the completed listings to confirm this), this first version of the LP has an ALTERNATE MIX of the song Tomorrow Never Knows, that was hastily withdrawn from sale and remixed at John's behest!
CONDITION
The vinyl is in VERY good condition. There are only a few light scratches which do not effect play. The record plays beautifully, with VERY LITTLE hiss or crackle. It has yellow writing over black. It includes the lettering PARLAPHONE, The Gramaphone Co. and Made In U.K.
The inner sleeve is plain white paper and in very good condition with Patent Applied For and Made In Great Britain written on it. It has only slight age related discolouration.
The main sleeve is in very good condition. It was manufactured by GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE. There are only a few small creases, two over George and one in the top right corner. This is a very colletable item and the opening Bid will reflect this.
Please examine the photos to see everything I've described, let me know if you need any more! With the "rare" business, I'm no authority on the subject and am going on what I read on the other listings, please feel free to check on this for extra peace of mind!
I will accept Paypal (preferred), personal cheque (UK ONLY!) or postal order (UK ONLY!). I will post the item, securely packaged, upon clearance of payment.
Please ensure that payment is made within 7 working days of the auction ending. Non-payers will be left negative feedback. If you have any questions regarding the item or anything I've omitted to mention, then please feel free to e-mail me.
Thanks
Mark
