THESE FIRST PRESS STEREO VERSIONS ARE OBVIOUSLY MORE RARE THAN THE MONO VERSION SO TO FIND ONE IN GREAT CONDITION IS LUCKY BUT TO FIND ONE WITH AN ERNEST J DAY SLEEVE IN EXCELLENT CONDITION MAKES THIS VERY RARE INDEED!! I PERSONALLY HAVEN'T SEEN ANOTHER ONE.THEY ARE FAIRLY COMMON IN MONO BUT ALL THE COPIES I HAVE OWNED OR SEEN FOR SALE OVER THE YEARS IN STEREO HAVE HAD GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE SLEEVES.
THIS VERY RARE ERNEST J DAY SLEEVE IS IN GREAT CONDITION WITH MINIMAL LAMINATE CREASING AND OPEN EDGE WEAR.IT HAS SLIGHT YELLOWING BUT ONLY SLIGHT! IT HAS A NICE SHARP SPINE AND SOLID FLIPBACKS.GRADES EXCELLENT
THE VINYL HAS KEPT A LOVELY GLOSSY SHEEN WITH ONLY A COUPLE OF SLIGHT HAIRLINES.NOTHING FEELABLE.VIEWED UNDER A BRIGHT HALOGEN LAMP IT REVEALS SOME MORE WISPY LINES FROM SLEEVE REMOVAL AND HANDLING BUT OVERALL I WOULD GRADE EX- VISUALLY. A VERY NICE VINYL INDEED!
THE AUDIO WAS SUPERB.CRYSTAL CLEAR WITH NO BACKGROUND SURFACE HISS OR CRACKLE.EVEN MOST OF THE RUN INS WERE SILENT.GRADES EX+
BOTH LABELS ARE EXCELLENT WITH JUST SLIGHT WEAR AROUND THE SPINDLE HOLE.
THE VINYL IS HOUSED IN A PLAIN WHITE "PATENTS APPLIED FOR" INNER SLEEVE ALSO IN EXCELLENT CONDITION.REMAINS NICE AND WHITE WITH MINIMAL CREASING AND NO SPLITS OR TEARS.
OVERALL THIS IS A GREAT COPY IN MORE SOUGHT AFTER STEREO WITH A VERY RARE HARDLY SEEN SLEEVE!
I AM BACK FROM A YEARS BREAK RENOVATING MY HOUSE TO START SELLING MY BEATLES VINYL AGAIN.I HAVE SOLD RECORDS TO THE FOUR CORNERS OF THE GLOBE AND HAVE ALWAYS GOT GREAT FEEDBACK SO YOU CAN BE CONFIDENT IN YOUR PURCHASE.HAPPY BIDDING
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
I add a plus or minus when the item is somewhere between two grades
