Description

Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Revolver' 1966 FIRST PRESS STEREO Parlophone vinyl LP!
This particular pressing is a first press stereo Parlophone record from 1966. A stereo copy of a mid-sixties Beatles album is considered to be much rarer than an original mono copy as the demand for stereo records was very low at the time! Most of them had to be specially ordered through local record shops! A rare pressing - DO NOT MISS OUT!!!

Artist: The Beatles
Title: Revolver
Catalogue Number: PCS 7009
Year: 1966
Number of Tracks: 14
Matrix Numbers: -1  -1
Mother Stampers: 2OM  3MT

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - does have a decent amount of hairlines/sleeve removal trails and very light marks. Nothing that I can feel however! Nice gloss and shine. Rated as VERY GOOD. Label is VERY GOOD+.                       Side 2 - same as Side 1!

Audio: I have play-tested the first track on Side 1 and the first track on Side 2 ONLY!!

Some background crackle on the run-in. The punchy audio masks it well and it doesn't really affect the audio much - all instruments and vocals can be heard clearly so no issues there. A deep clean would help but isn't necessary to enjoy this album! VERY punchy audio with a great rich bass tone and crisp highs! NO skips, jumps or sticks! Rated as a strong VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-!
Side 2 - Bit of crackle on the run-in but no pops or harsh sounds. As soon as the audio kicks in, the crackle remains in the background and never interferes with the punchy stereo audio! Again, VERY punchy with lots of clarity. NO skips, jumps or sticks! Rated as a strong VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT-!
I believe that the rest of the album will play at least VERY GOOD+, if not better, but DO NOT take this as a guarantee - it is just a guess as I have not play-tested this in its entirety.

Inner Sleeve: The original EMITEX inner sleeve is currently in VERY GOOD condition. It does have some creasing and discolouration but NO SPLITS! Houses the record extremely well!

Sleeve: The original STEREO flipback sleeve is in VERY GOOD condition! The front has a few marks and some laminate creasing towards the edges, especially towards the spine. Still retains a lovely gloss and shine! There is a name 'G.Barby' but it is NOT in ink! It can only be seen when held up to the light (pictured). The rear of the sleeve is again nice and clean and free from writing. Flipbacks are held down tightly - they do have creasing and discolouration. All edges are intact! The spine is 100% readable with some light creasing and light discolouration - slight mark to the 'e' in Revolver. Overall, not a mint sleeve but it looks great and houses the record perfectly!

PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!

As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a RARE STEREO Beatles record that everyone should own!
