Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul 12" 1965 mono original Parlophone LP vinyl press' in overall VERY GOOD+ condition.
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - quite a few hairlines and light marks. Nothing I can feel though. Rated as VERY GOOD/VERY GOOD+. Label is VERY GOOD.
- Side 2 - same as Side 1!
Audio:
- The audio is currently rated as VERY GOOD+!! I have listened to the record all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO STICKS and NO JUMPS on my system!! There is some background crackle throughout but mainly in the quieter parts (particularly Michelle) - never truly interferes with the punchy mono audio! It is very punchy, crisp and loud!! Fantastic mono mix with that great 60s sound! Lies very flat and plays very well!
The original EMITEX inner sleeve is in GOOD+/VERY GOOD- condition! There is a split to the bottom edge and the left edge - bottom split is approx 4", left split is approx 1".
The original flipback mono sleeve is 100% intact, with no splits and houses the record very well. I rate it as VERY GOOD+! The front has a few light laminate creases, mainly towards the edges but nothing serious. The rear of the sleeve is mostly nice and clean with the odd age-related mark here and there. There is also some small writing above 'mono' on the top right. Just someones initials - doesn't get in the way and doesn't look too bad! Flipbacks are nice and tight and very clean! Spine is 100% readable with very little damage, if any!!
Overall, a very good example of this classic record!
