THE BEATLES. RUBBER SOUL. 1ST PRESS STEREO PCS 3075 YELLOW/BLACK PARLOPHONE LABEL. K T TAX CODE. MATRIX YEX-178-3 & YEX-179-3. “SOLD IN UK…” TEXT AND “THE GRAMOPHONE CO LTD” TEXT ON RIM. COVER AND VINYL BOTH GRADE EXCELLENT.
My listening equipment is a highly revealing Yamaha PF-800 turntable (easily equal to an LP12) with Glanz MC cartridge, pre/power amps and Castle speakers.
Played on my system this LP grades Excellent with just some minor background noise to the final track on side one (‘Michelle’). The vinyl has some light marks and hairlines, but these are of no audio consequence. The Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover is in excellent condition with just a few minor creases to the laminate front (see close-up photos). The back cover is in superb condition – clean and bright with no writing or signatures. Comes complete with its ‘Emitex’ inner sleeve. 1st Press stereo Rubber Soul LPs are much rarer than mono versions and this is an excellent example.
