These have both been…. ….cleaned BEFORE & AFTER play testing on a VPI 16.5 using Disc Doctor solution, followed with a distilled water rinse (separate brushes and vacuum wands used for the cleaning and rinse cycles). ….play tested on a Clearaudio Performance SE with Ortofon 2M Black cartridge. ….sleeved in 4 mil outer sleeves and ‘rice paper’ inner sleeves.
Condition (by Goldmine standards): -Both of these, sound-wise, play at a minimum of VG. Occasional pop/click, NO SKIPS/JUMPS, no constant ‘campfire crackle’. -The -4 has barely a mark on it (VG+). -The -5 is covered in light hairlines on both sides, but they DO NOT AFFECT PLAY. You wouldn’t think it when looking at, but it plays the same as the unmarked -4.
