THE BEATLES - RUBBER SOUL (E J DAY SLEEVE EX+)
THE BEATLES - RUBBER SOUL
PMC 1267 (MONO FIRST PRESS)
XEX 579 - 4
XEX 580 - 4
SUPERB CORRECTED FIRST PRESS MONO WITH MUCH MORE RARE ERNEST J DAY SLEEVE.
THE SLEEVE IS IN BEAUTIFUL EX+ WITH JUST A FEW CREASES AND CRESCENTS IN THE FRONT LAMINATE FROM HANDLING AND A COUPLE OF TINY CORNER BUMPS.THE SPINE IS SUPER SHARP AND THE FLIPBACKS ARE ALL SOLID WITH ONLY TWO CREASES.THE WHITE REAR LOOKS ALMOST LIKE NEW WITH NO HANDLING MARKS OR DAMAGE.THERE IS THE SLIGHTEST OF BROWNING IN TWO CORNERS IF I AM BEING ULTRA CRITICAL BUT THIS STILL REMAINS THE BEST E J DAY RUBBER SOUL THAT I HAVE SEEN.
THE LABELS ARE ALSO EX+ WITH HARDLY ANY TRACE OF WEAR AND THIS IS BACKED UP BY THE QUALITY OF THE VINYL.
THE THICK GLOSSY VINYL IS IN EX+ CONDITION AND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL AND I WOULD SAY SIDE 2 IS SO STUNNING IT IS ONE OF THE BEST SIDES OF A BEATLES ALBUM THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN! SIDE 1 HAS TWO OF THE SLIGHTEST SMALL SLEEVE REMOVAL MARKS VISIBLE IN THE FIRST TWO TRACKS WHEN ANGLED TOWARDS BRIGHT LIGHT ONLY.
PLAYBACK IS AWESOME! CRYSTAL CLEAR,CRISP, BASSY MONO WITH ONLY THE FEINTEST CRACKLE ON SOME RUN INS WHEN YOU HOLD YOUR HEAD TO THE SPEAKER.THEY ARE SILENT WHEN LISTENED TO NORMALLY. EVEN MICHELLE SOUNDS CRACKLE FREE WHICH IS A GREAT INDICATION OF THE QUALITY.
THE USE EMITAX INNER IS IN EX CONDITION, IT HAS SOME MINOR CREASING AND SOME BROWNING AND THIS MAY HAVE BEEN KEPT AWAY FROM THE SLEEVE TO PROTECT IT.
THIS IS A FANTASTIC COPY OF MY FAVOURITE BEATLES ALBUM AND I'LL BE SAD TO SEE IT GO.
Grading:
MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks no deterioration in sound, all paperwork should be in perfect condition
Excellent: The Record shows some signs of being played, there is very little lessening of sound quality. The packaging may have very slight signs of wear and /or creasing.
Very Good: The Record has been played a number of times, but there is no major deterioration in sound quality, despite slight surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Good; The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps some mild scratches. The cover suffers from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits and discoloration.
Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise. It may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
I add a plus or minus when the item is somewhere between two grades
