Matrix Numbers:  XEX 579-1 and XEX 580-4

This is a rare intermediate press where side a is the -1 so-called loud cut and side b the -4 recut. It is unclear if these hybrids were ever meant for release. 

The first so-called 'loud cut' version of Rubber Soul was cut short on production due to being too loud and re-cut shortly after prior to release.

Whilst the Loud cut with -1 matrix is rare in itself, this hybrid versions are also a rarity with a minimal amount pressed prior to the record have -4 matrix on both sides.

On label, side 1, Tax Code KT relief stamped (See image)

Laminated sleeve with 'Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse LTD. Patents pending' written bottom of back cover.

Record Condition Grading

Sleeve:  VG Grading - some light edge-wear/creasing; spine is in great condition and perfectly legible. Some Writing on the back (see pics for more detail)

Vinyl: VG Grading Still a nice shine and glossy clean vinyl. 

Have listened through to the record on a quality turntable with a pair of headphones and it plays fantastic, some low level surface noise between tracks and quieter passages. Nothing over bearing on the music.

Side 1: There are some some superficial hairlines from sleeve removal and general use. There is 1 more prominent half inch mark between "The Word" and " Michelle". However this plays over without an skipping and only causes a few quiet pops during play.

Side 2: There are some some superficial hairlines from sleeve removal and general use. Nothing prominent that effects play.

The record will be posted in cardboard packaging with stiffeners 

Grading Guide Basis

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition, with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items, such as the lyrics sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: Record can be played through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. The cover or sleeve will have seam splits. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present. While the record will be playable without skipping, noticeable surface noise and "ticks" will almost certainly accompany the playback.
