This is the "LOUD" CUT version with XEX 578-1 & XEX 580-1 matrix marks. .  THE RECORD PLAYS AS NEAR MINT THROUGHOUT WITH SILENT RUN-INS AND SILENT RUN-OUTS

  SIDE 1

DRIVE MY CAR: Paul and John harmonise unusually on this track with occasional help from George. Paul on piano aids the backing. Catchy "beep beep yeah" adds novelty to this good opening track.

NORWEGIAN WOOD: Mainly we hear a sad John relating how his girl leaves him. Paul harmonises on the chorus whilst George adds unusual effect with the sitar

YOU WON'T SEE ME: Paul breaks forth with his first up-tempo solo. A long track with John and George joining in in the catchy chorus. Features Paul on piano and Mal Evans on organ.

NOWHERE MAN: Excellent song sung well in harmony by the boys. No unusual effects needed, they're all there already!.

THINK FOR YOURSELF: The first self-written self-performed George Harrison track on the LP.Very catchy chorus featuring all three whilst George mainly takes lead vocal. Interesting sound here provided by Paul on fuzz bass.

THE WORD: All three again join in Beatle harmony for this track. Features Paul on piano and an interesting break in the song by George Martin on harmonica.

MICHELLE: This song must rate as one of the best composed by the boys. and one of Paul's finest ballads. He handles the lyrics beautifully - some of them in French. George adds effect to the track with a smooth guitar sound. John and George punctuate the lyrics in the background. A great track Must become the "yesterday" of this LP.

SIDE 2

WHAT GOES ON: A Beatle song in the country & western flavour. Ringo takes his first ever composing credit and also takes lead vocal backed occasionally by John and Paul.

GIRL: The second ballad of this LP featuring John mainly joined by Paul and George in the chorus. Very catchy melodies. Another good Beatle track.

I'M LOOKING THROUGH YOU: Paul takes lead with his "the Night Before" voice and is occasionally  helped by John. Interesting instrumentation supplied by George on lead  guitar and Ringo on organ.

IN MY LIFE: An unusual Beatle song this. It features John and Paul in harmony remembering of times past. An excellent melody helped along by George Martin on piano. More smooth guitar from George supplies added effect to another great ballad..

WAIT: Up tempo again and John and Paul sing their usual harmonious way through another catchy repetitive Beatle track, Lead guitar features quite prominently.

IF I NEEDED SOMEONE: George's second self written self performed track on the L:P. John and Paul supply harmony on choruses and backing throughout this track. A ringing lead guitar finally brings this song to a close. Regarded by the Beatles, up to this time, as Georges best.
RUN FOR YOUR LIFE: A catchy song ends the LP. Simple but catchy chorus is repeated to help the melody register.
