Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul 12" 1965 RARE original Parlophone LP vinyl 1st press' in overall EXCELLENT+ condition.
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - A few small hairlines and a couple of marks but nothing major, deep or feelable. Label has some light spindle wear but still looks great.
- Side 2 - Same as Side 1!
Audio:
- In my eyes, the audio is EXCELLENT+! I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS! Slight crackle throughout but nowhere near overbearing - it's not even that audible throughout the songs! More noticeable on Michelle, nothing extreme, but this seems to be a common thing on old Rubber Souls. Fantastic clarity and punchy mono sound! A deep clean could get rid of that very slight crackle. The record lies extremely flat and plays extremely well.
The E J. Day sleeve is 100% intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as EXCELLENT+. Lovely shine, great gloss and clean! Spine has been slightly pinched but is still EXCELLENT and very readable! A few very creases here and there - particularly towards the bottom right of the front but not a huge issue. Have a look at the pictures and see for yourself! No writing or anything like that - looks great!
