Description
Thanks for looking at this listing for an original Yellow/Black Beatles Rubber Souls Lp.
This is the fabled "LOUD CUT version matrix -1/-1.
This is a great opportunity to own this fabulous album without breaking the bank.
I am a collector, not a dealer. Thus many lps I sell are because I have found upgrades, hence the low prices. In this instance a sleeve upgrade was found.
The sleeve is the original flip-back cover with the Parlophone logo and trade mark wording in the bottom right hand corner at the front. Whilst the cover has scuffing noticeable top and bottom and some creasing, it is however without any rips. There is some writing on the back (see pics). The cover features the wording 12LL/Patents pending back bottom right.
The labels are clean (free from writing), but have the usual spindle wear. Side two label bears the KT tax stamp.
For label variant collectors out there, this may provide another rarity. The "sold in the UK" text does not run parallel to the yellow Parlophone wording, but dips slightly away from it on both labels (slide-rule variant) (please e.mail for close-up pics)
The album itself plays through without any noticeable clicks or jumps. There is, unfortunately, some background noise (most noticeable between tacks/run-on/run-off). However, the sound is remarkably strong and good. I'm listening to the album whilst writing this listing, and to be perfectly honest I'm not finding this background noise intrusive throughout most of the disc. I will say that I have cleaned the record using a cleaning fluid, also that there is considerable dirt/dust on my cleaning arm too, which I'm sure can only improve matters (I often "play" my records with only the cleaning arm several times to remove dirt, and have done so with this too). OK, so it's way less than mint, but still a very respectable example of this great Beatles album
Anyway, this has a low starting price (and less than ebay maximum postage). With some dealers listing the Loud Cut at £120+ this is an ideal opportunity to grab yourself a bargain! If you want a reasonable sounding Loud Cut without spending a fortune, this could be for you!
I work shifts, but will post ASAP after payment. I re-use record mailers (I believe in recycling) with stiffeners, and factor parking/petrol costs into my postage rates.
I will accept returns (buyer pays return postage), and can post outside the UK (preferably Europe only). If buying from outside the UK please ask for postage rates before payment.
