Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Rubber Soul 12" 1969 ULTRA RARE MONO original final yellow and black Parlophone LP vinyl press' in overall EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+ condition!
This particular copy of Rubber Soul is RARE because this particular label, without 'Sold in U.K', was used for literally 3-4 months in the late summer of 1969!! Very limited and hard to come across in such great condition!!
VINYL:-
Visual:
- Side 1 - a few hairlines but nothing deep, major or feelable! Rated as EXCELLENT-. Label is EXCELLENT.
- Side 2 - Same as Side 1!
Audio:
- In my eyes, the audio is EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+(just!). I have play tested it all the way through and can confirm that there are NO SKIPS, NO JUMPS and NO STICKS on my system! Barely any crackle or noise on the run-ins or in between tracks!! Very slight background crackle can be heard in the quieter parts (especially 'Michelle') but I just think it needs a deep clean to be honest! VERY punchy, crisp and loud!! Great clarity! Lies very flat and plays very well! A thoroughly enjoyable listen!!
The original sepia EMI advertising inner sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. NO SPLITS, RIPS or TEARS!! Just slight discolouration, very light creasing an small staining to the bottom but nothing major - PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!
The original EJ DAY mono flipback sleeve is 100% intact and houses the record very well. I rate it as EXCELLENT-. On the front of the sleeve, there are some laminate creases, light edge wear, very light ringwear and and some sticker residue in the top right - I think this could be removed but I haven't attempted to remove it. Back of the sleeve has some discolouration and creases but it is still nice and clean with NO WRITING, NO GRAFFITI and NO MAJOR DAMAGE! The spine is readable, just ever so slightly 'rounded' - PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!!
Overall, a very RARE record that hardly shows up in this condition!
