Description

THE BEATLES

Title Revolver Cat No : PMC 7009 Label : Parlophone

Matrix : YEX 605-2 / YEX 606-1 Mothers Stampers : 7-OG / 3-OA

Issue : UK 1st Day Press 'Tomorrow Never Knows'

This is the UK 1st MONO Press of 'Revolver' by The Beatles. This rare press includes the withdrawn 'remix 11' version of 'Tomorrow Never Knows.' This press is also complete with the 'Sold In UK' and 'Gramophone Company' label text and the laminated flipback Ernest J Day sleeve.

The vinyl is in Fair condition. The vinyl although still glossy has a number of needle marks, many of which can be heard during play. There is some noise but it still plays well. The label is very bold and clean with bright text and only slight spindle wear.

The original Ernest J Day flipback laminated sleeve is in Very Good condition. This sleeve has a distinctly different look and feel to the common Garrod & Lofthouse sleeve. The card is lighter, the flipbacks are wider and this sleeve seems to always be whiter. The white is bright, the black is solid and the laminate has a stunning polished shine. The edges are firm, the flipbacks are completely sealed and intact and the unlaminated back cover image is unworn. There are some small times handwritten after each track and a name. There is a little corner wear and discoluration, but the sleeve is still very bright and extremely solid.
