Issue : UK 1st Mono Press Matrix : XEX 605-2//XEX 606-2
This is the UK 1st press of 'Revolver' by The Beatles. This original press has 'The Gramophone Company' and 'Sold In UK' label text. It is complete with the original inner sleeve and the earliest Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending,' pinched spine, Mono laminated flipback sleeve.
The vinyl is in Very Good condition. It has a high gloss with a few light marks, one tiny scratch and a few very light hairlines. On playing the there is light background noise, however the voices are sharp, the backing is vibrant and each track is very clear. There are a couple pops on the scratch but there is no significant deterioration to the sound at any point. The Yellow and Black Parlophone label is completely clean, the black is bold, the silver text is sharp and the yellow is bright. There is light spindle wear. There is the KT Tax code on Side 2.
The original and earliest Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending' flipback laminated sleeve is in Very Good++ condition. The white is bright and the black is solid. The back has only the slightest wear and the flipbacks are complete and sealed. There is some corner wear. The whole cover is very solid and the earliest pinched spine is firm with clear text on a bright background.
