No Way Out, the thrilling debut album by the Chocolate Watch Band, immediately finds that cosmic sweet-spot of perfect garage-rock traction: where the rubber meets the road and the train keeps a-rollin.' Nobody ever did Mick Jagger any better (even Mick, himself) than the Watch Band's frighteningly superb frontman Dave Aguilar. "Are You Gonna Be There (At The Love-In)" and "Let's Talk About Girls" are on everyone's list of Top 20 garage rock anthems of all time. And that's just the tip of the vermillion iceberg for this essential longplayer. "Come On," an early Stones single, gets the perfect Watch Band overhaul, "Hot Dusty Roads" ventures down back alleys that Buffalo Springfield never dreamed about and "No Way Out" dances rings around the outskirts of your nearest Human Be-In. - See more at: http://www.sundazed.com/product_info.php?products_id=1126#sthash.BDiR1CNU.dpuf No Way Out, the thrilling debut album by the Chocolate Watch Band, immediately finds that cosmic sweet-spot of perfect garage-rock traction: where the rubber meets the road and the train keeps a-rollin.' Comments
Black and Yellow Parlophone label with silver print:
The name "THE GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD.(capital letters)" on the outer rim, the "SOLD IN U.K." remark, and the "(P) 1966" statement.
This issue has a sleeve made by Garrod & Lofthouse.
Matrix No. is
Side-1: XEX 605 - 2
Side-2: XEX 606-2 have "Remix 8" of "Tomorrow Never Knows".
Label Variation B. This variation has Times New Roman font. This label exhibits a new layout design most notably with side one having both “Taxman” and “Eleanor Rigby” on the first line. Yet it also displays the incorrect Dr. Robert spelling on side 2. The credits pattern of “Song (Composer)-Lead Singer” has also now switched to “Song-Lead Singer (Composer)”. This probably appeared in late 1966.
This vinyl was pressed on the EMI old machines press. IT’S NOT CBS PRESSING as many people think! THIS IS AN EMI PRESSING! The vinyl is in VERY GOOD minus condition and sounds great LOUD. There are a few surface scratches, but there are no jumps or skips and they do not interfere with playback, indeed there is remarkably little surface noise throughout.. The laminated sleeve has a few small crackles here and there but nothing greatly detrimental. The non laminated reverse of Revolver often suffers from major discolouration but overall this copy is better than many. I would rate the sleeve as being in VERY GOOD minus condition. The labels have some slight spidering but as you can see from the pictures nothing that is too noticible. Overall this is a very decent copy.

RECORD GRADING GUIDE
"MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler."
As well as the above grades, Near Mint is often used as well; this is really for a record that appears new but is known to have been played because the label has light spindle marks or because it has come from a previous owner and is assumed to have been played by them. For records which appear to fall between the accepted grades, + and - are also often added to the grading.
