This is the UK Original press of 'Revolver' by The Beatles. This original press has 'The Gramophone Company' and 'Sold In UK' label text. It is complete with the original inner sleeve and the earliest Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending,' pinched spine, Mono laminated flipback sleeve.
The original heavy vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. It has a sensational bright gloss with a number of very light wispy marks on both sides. None of these are significant and as such when played the sound is extremely bold and has excellent separation. There is light background noise, however the voices are sharp, the backing is vibrant and each track is very clear.
The Yellow and Black Parlophone label is completely clean, the black is bold, the silver text is sharp and the yellow is bright. There is just slight spindle wear. There is the KT Tax code on Side 1.
The original and earliest Garrod & Lofthouse 'Patents Pending' flipback laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The white is extremely bright and the black is solid. The laminate is completely flat with no bubbling or laminate lift at all. The back has only the slightest wear to the flipbacks, otherwise it is like new. There is a small scuff on the top edge but all the edges are exceptionally firm. The whole cover is very solid and the earliest pinched spine has clear text on a bright background.
