THE BEATLES Rubber Soul 1965 UK 1st LOUD CUT mono vinyl rare MT '1' mother sde1
First “Loud Cut” pressing. December 3, 1965. “Loud Cut” matrces: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1. When “Rubber Soul” was initially mixed it was slightly different to how we hear it today. These early mixes only ever appeared in mono and are distinguished by the matrix numbers XEX 579-1 / XEX 580-1 in the deadwax. It’s argued that these early presses were unbalanced with a muddy bass and with an edgy, aggressive vocal sound. Since these copies seemed to lack body the decision was made to halt production whilst the mother platess were re-cut. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co. Condition and details below:
The sleeve is really nice! Minimal laminate creases on front, a couple of stains and light yellowing on rear, but clean and no writing. Spine , EXCELLENT, see photos and watch /listen to clip
An original EMITEX inner with poly lining and no rips , a little discolouration , no stains - excellent condition
Labels show some signs of use with light scratches; side 1 has the rarer MT tax code
Vinyl has light marks, see photos, causing some light crackle, however not intruding on sound quality which is VG+/EX in the main. |Even Michelle plays really well after a crackly run in....In My life the same...these are the benchmark tracks IMO, watch and listen to the video clip...
