This is the UK Original press of 'Rubber Soul' by The Beatles. This press is complete with the original yellow and black label, the early 4/4 matrix, KT tax code on Side 1 and laminated flipback Ernest J Day sleeve.
The record is in Very Good+ condition. When examined under a strong light the vinyl on each side has the most wonderful high gloss, there is no whitening of the grooves at all. There are just a few light small marks and a few light hairlines but nothing significant at all. On the turntable the record lies completely flat. The sound is exceptionally warm, the vocals are sharp and extremely clear. There are brief moments of slight noise, it isn't perfect, but these moments are insignificant, it still sounds superb.
The yellow and black Parlophone labels are completely clean. The black is exceptionally bold, and the yellow is very bright. The white text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear and a couple of spider marks.
The earliest Garrod & Lofthouse flipback laminated sleeve is in Excellent condition. The laminate has a polished mirrorlike shine. The image is entirely unworn, the colours still have their bold original finish and it is completely flat. The back has slight discolouration but it is very bright and clean. The spine is sensational. It is exceptionally solid and the text is immaculate. The whole sleeve is still very solid.
