Capitol Records: T-2442 mono: THE BEATLES: Rubber Soul.
This is the original North American release of this classic LP, featuring a slightly different run of tracks from that featured on the British version released at the same time. See photographs of reverse side of outer sleeve for track listing. 
Matrix numbers: 

  • Side 1: T-1-2442-G-12
  • Side 2: T-2-2442-G-12 

This is an excellent example of the first pressing, featuring the Beatles' individual names on the record labels, rather than the band being credited as The Beatles. 
The reverse side of the outer sleeve features the RIAA (Record Industry Association of America) emblem in the bottom right-hand corner. 

The text at bottom centre reads:  THIS MONOPHONIC MICROGROOVE RECORDING IS PLAYABLE ON MONOPHONIC AND STEREO PHONOGRAPHS. IT CANNOT BECOME OBSOLETE. IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE A SOURCE OF OUTSTANDING SOUND REPRODUCTION, PROVIDING THE FINEST MONOPHONIC PERFORMANCE FROM ANY PHONOGRAPH.
