Hello everyone,
I'm selling a 1967 mono pressing of The Beatles ' Sergeant Pepper '. It is a first pressing with all the correct identification - Sold in UK, The Gramophone Co Ltd, the visible flaps on the inside sleeve, the cut-out insert and the Garrod and Lofthouse sleeve. The only bit missing is the red and white inner sleeve.
The disc has a few surface marks and light scratches but overall the record is in very good condition. Picture no 4 shows a scratch at 10 o'clock, surprisingly this does not sound on my system. In fact, the background on both sides is very quiet with the only fault being some crackle on the run out grooves of side 2 and a couple of clicks on the dead wax between tracks 3 and 4 0f side 1. The disc is dead flat and the sound is clear, without any distortion and plays as good as new barring what I have already mentioned.
The sleeve is in excellent condition, the only sign of wear being the spine which has some rubbing and the smallest of corner wear on two corners, only. The insert is in excellent condition. The record will be slipped into an anti-static liner within it's inner sleeve and the whole thing placed in a good polythene outer sleeve. The record has been cleaned on a professional record cleaning machine.The album will be safely dispatched in a purpose record mailing box.
Sergeant Pepper albums in great condition are hard to source and when found, cost an arm and a leg. Apart from the aforementioned imperfections this is a chance to have a first pressing that sounds as good as any, has a sleeve that looks the business and it's not going to cost a month's mortgage. If personal collection is preferred, cash on collection only please.
