THE BEATLES SGT PEPPER'S LHCB FOURTH PROOF SLEEVE MONO PMC 7027 INSERT EX/FAIR NO FOOL INNER

This is the rare and sought-after Fourth Proof sleeve, which was the final version of the various prototypes when the cover was being designed.
VINYL - EX As can be seen from the pics, this album still looks virtually brand new, retaining it's glossy sheen. It also sounds like it was bought yesterday, as the sound quality is virtually flawless. Only the odd light pop on a few tracks, one on She's Leaving Home and one on When Im Sixty-Four. Overall a superb example.
LABELS - EX Both sides 1 and 2 are super clean and bright with only a little spindlewear that can only be seen under bright light. Near mint.
COVER - FAIR If anything, I've downgraded this just to be as transparent as possible. Although this cover is by no means perfect, it's still a fourth proof. These are notoriously difficult to find in any condition, let alone EX or Mint. The front, rear and inner-gatefold still retain vibrant colour, and the laminate is glossy and tight with no bubbling or tears. The corners are a little scuffed, and sadly the spine is quite damaged (see pic).
CUTOUT - EX. The cutout sheet designed by Peter Blake and Jann Haworth is virtually perfect and fully intact.
Sadly, this copy does not have the original psychedelic inner designed by The Fool. Vinyl is housed in a poly inner.
In summary, whilst this copy is in by no means perfect condition (hence the low starting price), the rarity of the cover, coupled with the excellent condition of the vinyl, makes this a must-have addition to a Beatles collecton that has a gap where a fourth proof should be.
