Description
Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Sgt Pepper' 1967 FIRST PRESS STEREO vinyl LP - extremely collectible in this condition!!
This particular pressing features the FIRST MATRICES used on a stereo copy of Sgt Pepper (-1 -1). This means it is a first pressing and features the flipback stereo sleeve with the original INTACT green cutout insert. Has that wonderful 'solid black' vinyl look. By this, i mean that you can barely see the deadwax grooves in-between the songs. This was due to the fact that the songs ran so close together! DO NOT MISS OUT!!
Artist: The Beatles
Title: Sgt Pepper
Catalogue Number: PCS 7027
Year: 1967
Number of Tracks: 13
Matrix Numbers: YEX637-1 YEX638-1
Mother Stampers: 2GMP 1GOG
Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - there are a few light hairline scratches - none of them are feelable!! They're just sleeve-removal trails so I highly doubt they will affect the audio. There is one lightly feelable mark to the start of track 6 but very small and I'm just being strict. Currently rated as EXCELLENT/EXCELLENT+. Label is EXCELLENT. Side 2 - same as Side 1 with a few more light, non-feelable marks!
Audio: AUDIO GRADING TO FOLLOW!!!!
Insert: The original green cut-out card insert is in EXCELLENT condition! Free from damage, writing, rips or tears!
Sleeve: The original 1967 stereo flipback gatefold sleeve is in VERY GOOD+/EXCELLENT- condition! The front of the sleeve has a lovely gloss and shine with small amount of very light ringwear and some small spots of laminate creasing near the edges - nothing serious, still looks great! All edges are intact! The rear of the sleeve is nice and clean with a wonderful gloss and shine! Slight mark to the top right but it's small and can be seen in the pictures. There is some VERY light ringwear but again, nothing serious. The spine is clean with some creases and 100% readable text! It has however been pinched so the bottom half of the letters can't be seen as clearl but it's a very respectable copy. The inner gatefold has a stunning shine and is very very clean! Creaks upon opening and has intact flipbacks with very little marks on them. Everything looks great and clean and the whole sleeve is free from writing!
DO NOT MISS OUT!! PLEASE SEE ALL PICTURES!!

As with all the vintage records I sell, I advise a deep clean to enhance the sound quality of the record. Overall, a highly collectible Beatles record, that everyone wishes they owned!
