Hello and welcome to this auction for a 'Beatles - Sgt Pepper' 1967 WIDESPINE yellow Parlophone vinyl LP in overall VERY GOOD condition.

This particular pressing features the RARE 'Wide Spine' sleeve! When Sgt Pepper was first released, the original sleeve had a wider-than-usual spine. This was quickly changed due to storage issues. The 'Fourth Proof' sleeve was a prototype sleeve AFTER the widespine was first released. Thus making it a true FIRST PRESSING sleeve! HIGHLY COLLECTIBLE! DO NOT MISS OUT!!

Condition:
Vinyl (visual): Side 1 - the disc is fairly dusty and does have some marks due to it's age. None that I can feel however but it does look like it's been well-enjoyed! Currently rated as GOOD+/VERY GOOD-. Label is VERY GOOD.                       Side 2 - same as Side 1! 

Audio: I have play-tested the first track on Side 1 and the first track on Side 2 ONLY!! They both currently rate as GOOD+/VERY GOOD-. There is a fair amount of crackle on the run-in and this continues throughout the track. It is noticeable but the audio can still be heard fine. I do believe that it's just a dusty disc and a deep professional clean could help improve this. Punchy audio but the crackle reflects the price. 


Insert: The original green cutout insert is in EXCELLENT condition! No creases, no rips, no tears, no writing - very crisp and very clean!

Sleeve: The original 1967 WIDESPINE mono flipback sleeve is currently in a strong VERY GOOD condition. The front retains it's original gloss and shine but does have a few laminate creases towards the edges in particular. The inner gatefold is nice and clean and has some light ringwear right by the spine - storage issues like I mentioned above! It's free from writing and has a nice gloss and shine! The rear of the sleeve is clean with a few laminate creases but nothing major! The spine is 100% readable but does have some discolouration and light creases. Could probably be straightened out and cleaned and it would look amazing!
