THE BEATLES - SGT. PEPPER's LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
A highly presentable and very nice condition copy of this very 1st UK press Beatles classic with the superb MONO audio quality being a real highlight
Year/Label : 1967 UK ParlophoneLabel number : PMC 7027
Matrix numbers : YEX 637 - 1 / YEX 638 - 1
Stamper codes : 3 GRL / 35 GRG
Nice thick, weighty and completely flat glossy vinyl in very good plus (VG+) condition, bordering on excellent and I am sure that many would grade as excellent - viewed closely under a bright light some extremely wispy hairlines and very faint surface only paper scuffs do come into view but all are non-obvious, purely superficial, and do nothing to diminish the wonderful MONO audio quality. Near mint (NM) condition labels - unmarked with not even the usual one or two small faint spindle trails - indicative of a record that has been played very sparingly. Note the "K" and "T" tax codes sitting loud and proud on the side 1 label, a key identifier of very early UK pressings. The fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse outer gatefold sleeve is in very good plus (VG+) condition - again, bordering on excellent - with firm unscuffed edges (apart from a single 1.2 cm scuff in the middle of the bottom reverse side edge), impressive right angled corners with minimal rubbing only, firm spine with some surface wrinkles but all text remaining legible, and just the occasional 1cm very light horizontal laminate crease adjacent and perpendicular to the spine on both the front and reverse side. All of the colours, text, art work and photos remain in excellent condition with great vibrancy and clarity, and the condition of the inside of the gatefold is truly excellent. The original Peter Blake carboard cut-out is included and is in unused, pristine condition. The iconic psychedelic red and white "flame" inner sleeve has a single 1cm seam split in the middle of the bottom edge along with some horizontal creasing next to that same edge, but there are no tears, discolouration, or edge fraying and remains fully functional. The quality of the MONO sound is terrific throughout - excellent plus (EX+) or better with no background crackle or interference at all, no clicks, and simply great tone & clarity throughout even at higher volume and on higher frequencies. This music never ages!

Note that I always insert the vinyl into a new plain white poly-lined inner sleeve in order to protect the original during postage, and separate this from the sleeve itself to prevent seam splits.
