SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

This copy of Sgt. Pepper was one of the first into the stores being a ‘fourth proof’ sleeve having AR D 13217 and Fourth Proof printed on the top right inside fold-over on the sleeve.
Sleeve: Excellent Condition, very neat and tidy retaining its structure. No record ring-wear and barely any laminate creases. The spines are almost always found split on these thinner fourth proof sleeves but this one is still intact. The front and rear panel are still very glossy and clean. Being an early sleeve it has ‘Patents Pending’ printed the back cover. Early print of the Fab Four inside the gatefold in a lighter hue than found on later standard sleeves, and is very glossy and clean. It still opens with a new ‘crack’ type sound.
Inner Sleeve: Original Psychedelic inner sleeve which is very clean and neat without marks. There are no side or bottom splits. Excellent condition.
Cut-out card: Original 1967 cut-out card in Excellent+ condition
The Vinyl: The vinyl is Excellent. It has a bright black pressing sheen all over with no groove wear, no scuffs, no warps, no dinks, no scratches. There is very little sign of play, even under bright halogen light only several barely noticeable small hairlines, which don’t affect play.
Lays completely flat on the turntable.
The Labels: The labels are Excellent. There is no spindle wear and just a couple of small spindle lines.

The Audio: A perfect sounding copy all the way through. There are no distortions over the audio. Deep warm Mono bass. Plays smoothly from start to finish with no background noise or any other defects.
