This album is from my own collection, bought by me new in 1960s when I was a teenager.
Sleeve, Gatefold, Printed and Made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd
Patents Pending. Complete, just a little rubbing down the opening edge and slight bumps to corners - Title on spine. Lovely colour photo of Beatles when opened out. The white you can see on the photo is just light reflecting of the shiny surface. Mono Long Play
The inner sleeve is complete and original. The cardboard cut out sheet is complete and clean
The record labels Parlophone Black and Yellow. Side 1 PMC 7027 1 - XEX 637 - Side 2 PMC 7027 2 - XEX 638
Matrix Numbers on the record itself Side 1 XEX 637 - 1 - Side 2 638 - 1 - I think this means 1st press
The record itself is quite a thick record and appear to be in very good condition, it has been played by me in the distant past and probably does have a few light surface scuffs but I can't see any major scratches, but I am not a record collector, so as far as grading goes for the experts out there I can only say what I see.
These are just from my own teenage record collection, I was a great Beatles fan and have several albums and fan club christmas records which I am now disposing of as no one else in the family wants them and I need to see if anyone else wants them before my sons decide to throw them on the skip.
I havn't played these records for a long time as I have not had a record player since they went out of fashion and music was more available on CDs
I hope this will find a new home - I always thought records were better than CDs in the good old days
