It would appear that this was released with a German (Odeon) sleeve and German insert. According to some sources the supply for this album was very high at the time of release and some Odeon German sleeves were called in to keep up with the demand that was generated as a result of this albums release. Not entirely sure where this information originates from but it seems that quite a few examples come to market like this UK Mono record in German sleeves. Also the previous owner bought this from new and this is how he purchased it.
Condition
Please note that all records are visually graded unless otherwise stated
Records are graded using the Rare Record Price Guide grading system
Record-EX This is a very nice example that has been very well preserved with only light playing, there are a couple of light spindle marks, but the labels are generally well presented and clean.
The playing surface is bright and has retained a lovely glossy surface. There are a couple of slight surface marks that are only barely noticeable in strong bright light and at certain angles (probably caused from the inner sleeve), with a couple of very faint non feelable hairlines abd mild marks. Nothing that is feeleable or heavy. A very nice and clean example.
I have listened to the record both sides and the audio was very sharp and clear, with some occasional noticed, minimal surface noise. This was only noticed mainly in quieter section run ins and outs. Barely anything noticed if at all during louder busy sections. The audio was consistently excellent and I suspect that a professional clean would further enhance the audio.
Generally the audio was fantastic and clear and easily matches the visual grading.
Sleeve-EX/EX+ A fantastic example of a sleeve that rarely preserves well, the front is bright and clean. The opening edge is sharp with some light wear at the top and small corner crease at the bottom. The spine is sharp and legible. Some mild edge wear and some very light surface marks. The inner gatefold is clean and well presented.
The insert is clean and bright with lovely sharp corner EX+.
The original inner sleeve has some light wear with some handling creases present. Ther is a small graze top corner also. Generally clean with some mild edge wear and light marks EX-
A very nice example on the whole and one that matches the record very well.
