Condition:

SLEEVE:  VERY GOOD -  Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold sleeve with "flipback" seams.  This item was produced in 1967, so expect so signs of aging.

All "flipback" seams well intact.  Some edge creases to all edges, small scuffs to all corners and along bottom edge.  There are some areas of creasing to the laminate along the opening edge.  All edges are free of splits and scuffs, and I am pleased to say that there are no stickers or writing to be found anywhere.  Overall I would hesitate to rate it as a Very Good example despite the above defects, and keep in mind that it is 48 years old.

"FOOL" INNER SLEEVE:  Please note that this offering COMES COMPLETE with the much sough after red coloured  "FOOL" inner sleeve which is in VERY GOOD condition.  there is a split along the bottom edge of about 3.5cm, but both sides are split free.  The opening edge shows some light wear, and both sides have a small area of surface where it looks as though sticky tape has been removed. Both sides also display some light staining, which hopefully shows in the photos.  Free of writing and stickers.

NOTE:  The usual "cut-out" sheet is NOT present.

VINYL:  VERY GOOD - I have no hesitation is rating this vinyl quite highly.  The heavy vinyl does, almost inevitably, show numerous light hairlines, some very feint and wispy - but none are heavy or serious and they do not seem to have an adverse effect on play quality.

The labels are clean and bright and display only very light spindle marks.  Side 2 has the "KT" Tax Code clearly embossed.

I have listened to the album several times,  and the original MONO sound is quite superb.  Undoubtedly, some light background crackles can be detected in some areas or quiet sections, but nothing serious.  There are definitely no skips or jumps.

A GREAT ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION.

I try to accurately describe the condition as per The Record Collector's Guide's parameters:

MINT:  The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.  Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be mint.

EXCELLENT:  The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality.  The cover and packaging may have some slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD:  The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.  Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD:  The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc.
