This record is in very good condition. The labels do have light spindle marks visible but no pen marks, scuffs or fading anywhere. The centre is tight and overall they are in great shape.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides do have lots of light lines showing. There is also one longer thin line which can be felt on side 2. There is nothing disastrous on either side however and no really nasty scuffs. The record is 48 years old, has obviously been played and has the signs of use but other than the line on side 2 has nothing serious.
I play tested the record and on the whole it plays really well. It lays flat and there is little movement in the record arm. The sound produced is great with no major issues with surface noise or interference, although I did hear a few clicks in parts. These were 2/3 in tracks 3 and 6 on side 1, but these were very light indeed and hardly noticeable. Other than these side 1 played great with little to report. Side 2 also played really well but did have a few light clicks caused by the line mentioned above. These were audible in parts of tracks 5 and 6. Despite being noticeable in parts they don't destroy the audio and are not the sort of clicks caused by nasty deep marks. So overall the album plays well and I enjoyed the whole play test despite the occasional few light clicks in parts.
The iconic gatefold sleeve is in very good+ condition. It has some wear to the edges and corners, but a lot of the text along the spine is legible. There are of course no splits or weak areas anywhere but there is some bubbling and creasing to the laminate on the front, back and inside the gatefold. This is by no means drastic but there is little here and there. Other than this there are a few indentations on the front, but overall it is strong, clean and bright with no tears, scuffs or pen marks anywhere.
It contains a replacement plain white inner as the original has gone missing. This has no splits or serious issues but does have some age related discolouring and very light creasing.
The cardboard insert has also gone missing and isn't included unfortunately.
The record will be packaged in cardboard stiffeners and bubble wrapped thoroughly when dispatched. It will also be sent in a brand new protective plastic sleeve, within 24hrs of payment to ensure swift delivery.
