Up for auction is a rare Sealed copy of The Beatles "Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" Picture Disc originally released in the U.S. on Capital/EMI (SEAX-11840) in 1978. This is a guaranteed, First American Pressing, not a cheap reissue or import like many others for sale on eBay.
This copy is in its original factory Shrink Wrap, still sealed. Never opened, never resealed. No UPC/bar code on cover. Genuine 1978 vintage.
Has the original factory "Limited Edition" sticker in upper right corner with correct catalog number. Many copies do not have this important sticker.
Condition: Looks close to "as new" with a little bit of rub to the original shrink wrap. There's a factor punch out hole in upper right corner, as evidence of how few of these copies actually sold when first issued. Shrink is in nice condition, with factory breathe holes, and upper right corner has one tiny spot exposed (see photo). Cover shows a little bit of typical rippling caused by the tight factory shrink wrap. Back cover is nice and white, no age discoloration, which is common for these records. Very well-preserved copy.
