All records are graded to the Record Collector Guidelines, with extra information added as required when play tested. Also all photos above are of the exact record you will receive if purchased.
This record is in very good- condition. It has a lot of spindle marks visible on each label but there are no pen marks, scuffs, stains or major issues. There is some wear around the centres but nothing extreme and they are not loose. Overall the iconic yellow and black Parlophone labels are in decent shape with all text legible and no really major issues to report. They also have all text associated with the UK 1st pressing. I.e,"The Gramophone Co." in the radial text, "Sold in the U.K. Subject To Resale Price Conditions, See Price Lists" across label and "Made in Gt. Britain" at foot.
As for the vinyl itself, both sides show clear and obvious signs of use and age. There is lots of light lines showing and also more obvious marks, scratches(not deep and cant be felt), lines and wear. Overall a clearly used vintage lp that has much signs of play and use. It is certainly not visually perfect but also has no really nasty or deep scratches or marks.
I play tested the record and it played through tidily with no skips or sticks and no major levels of surface noise. It was of course not perfect but was also still an enjoyable play test with no major or horrific interference. There was some surface noise in the run ins and intro to side 1 and also some between tracks. There was also some in the early stages of the sitar intro to side 2 and some in the closing stages of side 2. There was no major or noticeable levels of distortion however and no annoying tics. Overall it plays tidily and would grade higher audibly that than the VG- visual grading but is of course no perfect.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in very good condition. It has no really major issues such as tears or splits but does have signs of its age. It has some wear to the edges and corners, laminate creasing and ring marks showing. There is also some pen indentations showing on the front when it is angled. So not a perfect sleeve but one that despite its age related issues has no stand out faults or major problems. I have tried to describe the sleeve as best I can but please study the pictures provided to gain as much information as possible as to its condition.
It includes both its Psych red/white inner and cut out insert but both of these are in poor condition. The inner has splits and tears, whilst the insert has been cut and so is only partially there. The record will of course be sent in a brand new plain white replacement inner to ensure it is clean and ready to play.
I hope my photos are comprehensive enough(can provide more of any marks/wear on vinyl if required but could not upload any more due to 12 photo limit reached) but if you have any questions then don't hesitate to contact me. Also please check my eBay feedback for a positive history of record grading, A1 communication and quick delivery times.
