The first issue of "The Beatles Story" was released at the height of Beatlemania in 1964. It was subsequently re-issued five more times, with fewer copies pressed with each release.
The 2 record set offered here is the 1983 final issue of this album. Total pressings,and more importantly sales of the 2 LP album had diminished considerably by 1983, 13 years after the breakup and almost twenty years after the very first pressing of "The Beatles Story." The effect was an instant Beatles collectible!
You will be hard pressed to find many 1983 issues of this title! There just weren't that many pressed.
