On offer here is a rare UK original 1967 Mono Yellow & Black Parlophone 1st pressing of Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band by THE BEATLES with the Sold in the UK text on the labels & The Gramophone Co text on the label rims! This pressing is 100% complete with the original Fool inner and fully intact sheet of cut-outs!
The catalogue number is PMC 7027 and the matrix numbers are Side 1 – YEX 637-1 & Side 2 – YEX 638-1. Mothers & stampers are: Side 1 – ATM 4 & Side 2 – ATA 2.
The record is VERY strictly graded in VG- condition, there are quite a few light marks / scuffs etc on both sides but the record plays through really well as usual with these thick vinyl original UK pressings and sounds great with some background noise and clicks but with absolutely no jumps, sticks, warps, dishing etc!!
The cover is also very strictly graded in VG+ condition with some general corner wear plus some slight spine damage / wear but is generally very nice indeed! Comes with original cut outs insert in really nice EX condition. This edition comes with the correct original red and white Fool inner sleeve in VG/VG- condition, it has a smallish split at the bottom and some staining to the bottom right corner plus minor wear/creasing but is still quite a nice example of this rare inner despite this.
The labels are superb with no tears, marks or writing and there are only light traces of spindle wear on both sides. Side 2 also has the KT tax code on the label.
A very decent fully complete copy of this classic LP.
