Rare and very sought after UK mono repress on the black and silver Parlophone label with just one EMI boxed logo. Housed in the correct laminated Garrod and Lofthouse Ltd gatefold sleeve that has a strange manufacturing fault. The laminate is missing from the top quarter on the front and back. Also has the locked groove at the end of side two.

These one box mono pressings hardly ever surface for sale in any condition, let alone like this one. Parlophone switched very quickly to the two EMI box label, so hardly any of these were ever pressed.

Comes complete with the cut outs sheet. Also has a small Apple advertising poster. The inner sleeve is a plain white sleeve with two patent numbers and "Made in Great Britain". Has a 1/1 matrix.

As you will have gathered by now, if you have your speakers switched on, we have recorded the entire album for you. We have nothing to hide here and want you to be really happy with your purchase should you win the auction.

This whole album was recorded on our most sensitive set up. A Nagaoka cartridge with a Nagaoka elliptical stylus. This is one unforgiving set up and any problems can be heard all too easily.

I listened through before recording and the playback is simply incredible. You really would be hard pushed to find a better quality audio experience. Lets not forget this is a beatles album from 1969, most copies are absolutely trashed, but not this one.

The playback has superb clarity. There are no clicks, no sticks, no jumps and practically no crackle.

This album has been played but only carefully on the best of equipment. Absolutely no groovewear whatsoever. Just imagine what it sounds like on your deck, so much better than the soundfile.

Just incase you're worried that this is leading to a vg record with great sound, rest assured the visual grade is superb as well. A nice shiny record that has not been overplayed. Please read on for full details.

If you win one of these records rest assured that we do not use those flimsy record mailers. We pack with the record outside of the sleeve (inside a new plain inner sleeve), placed in a polythene sleeve and then inside a cruciform box with stiffeners. All packing materials are new. We want your item to reach you in the condition it leaves us.

Incredibly hard to find in anything approaching this nice condition. A truly excellent copy that would be a fabulous addition to anyones collection, especially considering the superb audio.

This is the rare "one box" issue on the black and silver Parlophone label. Has just the one EMI boxed logo and is a mono pressing, making this a very rare variant indeed.

The sleeve is the correct laminated Garrod and Lofthouse laminated gatefold sleeve. There is a strange manufacturing fault on this sleeve that i have never seen before. The laminate is missing on the top quarter of the front and back of the sleeve, leaving the top quarter with a matt finish.

The labels are the black and silver Parlophone labels with just the one EMI boxed logo. The labels are in excellent condition. A very slight touch of spindle wear on side one only, with just two or three spider marks on each side. Has a light finger mark on each side. A record that has rarely been played.

The record surfaces still have their original full gloss sheen to them. Side one looks near mint in daylight and when angled under two very bright 50 watt halogen bulbs. Side two looks vg++ showing three scuffs/hairlines both in daylight and under the halogen spotlights, otherwise just a couple of ultra light wispy lines and ultra light paper scuffs only seen under a very bright light.

The playback is superb. Pretty much perfect play with even the spaces between tracks playing really quietly. We have not used any noise reduction on the soundfile, no other software, just recorded directly into the computer with our most sensitive set up. We have recorded the gaps between songs and they do mostly play through without any sound whatsoever. The sound through our system is just incredible, crisp, clear and strong with no sign of groovewear. There are just a couple of pops in the run out groove of side two before the locked groove comes on.
