THE BEATLES Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band FOURTH PROOF ’67 UK 1st VINYL LP
Artist : The Beatles Title : Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band Catalogue Number : PMC 7027 Matrix Number : XEX 637-1 / XEX 638-1 Issue : This is a UK 1st Press. The vinyl is complete with the earliest matrix, the original Peter Blake insert and red and white fool inner sleeve. It is also complete with the rare fourth proof text on the inside of the original gatefold laminated flipback Mono sleeve. Vinyl Condition : The vinyl is in VERY GOOD+ condition. The vinyl still has the original wonderful jet black gloss, the grooves show no sign of age. There are a couple of light marks and a few very light wispy marks but it still is exceptionally bright and clear. Label Condition : The label is in EXCELLENT condition. The black is bold and the silver and yellow text are sharp. There is just a little spindle wear. Insert / Inner Condition : The Peter Blake insert is in EXCELLENT condition. The inner is also in rare EXCELLENT condition. The edges are sharp, the red is bold and the white is bright with just a little discolouration. Sleeve Condition : The laminated FOURTH PROOF flipback sleeve is in VERY GOOD+ condition. The laminate is superb, the colours are bright and the picture is exceptionally sharp. The inside is as new, it still has the wonderful laminate creak as it opens and the flipbacks are perfect. The fourth proof text is clear in the corner. There are a couple of small laminate creases on the front and a little corner and slight edge wear. The sleeve is completely flat, the edges are firm and the whole sleeve is solid. Play Condition : The sound quality is EXCELLENT. There are a couple of moments of very slight noise but these are insignificant, there is superb clarity and it is bold and vibrant throughout.
