I have collected records since I was very young, however Iincreasingly I have realised that I have far too many, and soI have been slowly trying to rationalise my extensive collection over the years, I have sold many major rarities over the years, from major BEATLES and 60s rarities, through PUNK and PROG ROCK, CLASSICAL and BLUES. Basically I've had alot of very rare records and in dribs and drabs have sold them off. I've never had negative feedback, and had many repeat customers. I will only post completely insured and tracked.

The Beatles' Sergent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is possibly their most iconic. Musically this is undoubted, with the whole feel of the album being a continual "mood-world" you inhabit for the duration. Even the first few tracks and the penultimate reprise give it a "show" feeling. But perhaps as iconic as the music contained on the LP, was that design of the packaging that contained it. Designed by Peter Blake, this is a real art-piece in it's self, and definitely has to be given some of the credit as to why this album has remained quite so iconic to new music buyers and players throughout the subsequent years. What is rare about this copy is that, whilst they were still working out the logistics of the artwork sizing and layout, they make mock-ups or "PROOFS", these are never commercially avaialble and are only used "in house" as it were to work out how it will look. However, with Sergent Pepper's some were released with that denotation ("FOURTH PROOF" and "AR     D  1321(7?)") still present on the top flipback tab on the right hand panel of the central gatefold. They are rare, and this is one such copy!

SLEEVE: VG, Generally clean, with the surfaces being pretty shiny, and fold/indent free, but for a slight corner handling fold at the bottom right corner of the central gatefold, the indent of each Beatles name having been written above their heads, but then removed (please see photo 4!) and a similar name, again removed at the top left hand corner of the front cover. The spine has slight staining and has worn mostly through, as such is illegible. There is a wear-through for the first inch of the bottom edge of the the front cover and slight wear at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock, the side opening mouth edges stand up pretty well, as do the flipback tabs.
RECORD CONDITION: VG, A standardly looked after record, cthat has clearly been enjoyed but generally cared for, there is a general dusting of surface hairline/withdrawl marks, taking some of the glossy edge off the vinyl's sheen, and a few slightly more significant marks, though nothing that will signifficantly detract from the playing enjoyment, or cause jumps etc. A perfectly fine playable copy, though the rarity in this listing is not particularly the record, but rather the sleeve!
RECORD LABELS: VG+ Generally quite decent labels, with just a few light spindle marks around the central spindle holes on either side. The previous owner, has neatly written JF on the yellow ring behind the Parlophone "£" at the top of the Side 1 label, and "Julia" in the same place on Side 2. Not particularly imposing, but grafitti nonetheless! (Unless your name is Julia F. in which case this is perfect for you!)  Other than that, no  further grafitti/stains/abbrasions. Very decent! INNER SLEEVE: VG Designed by "The Fool", this "Flame" style inner sleeve was only used for this one LP, though other bands subsequently imitated the idea, and designed their own for their LPs. The edges have mainly worn through, though one side still has only failed from the centre, there is handling wear, and some small nicks along the top and bottom edges, and "6266" has been written on one side. That said the colours are still quite vibrant, and there no missing sections to it, and this sleeve on it's own is quite sought after!
