Description
THE BEATLES Sgt Pepper’s lonely hearts club band PARLOPHONE LP Picture disc PHO 7027!
Original UK Picture disc LP with the original laminated die cut sleeve and the original soft PVC inner sleeve, released in 1979, on the PARLOPHONE label. Catalogue number: PHO 7027.
Matrix numbers read:
A-Side: PHO 7027 A FOR GEORGE AND MABEL
B-Side: PHO 7027 B1 ANOTHER WINNER FROM ERNIE
Sleeve/Record: VERY GOOD+/VERY GOOD+ CONDITION (*Plays EXCELLENT)
Overall a clean solid sleeve in VERY GOOD+ condition, only small fault with the sleeve are some small/light touches of sleeve print wear, where the print surface has stuck to the housing PVC sleeve during storage, this is mainly evident on the back sleeve near to the record insert edge with some minor touches which can be seen on the bottom front and back sleeve. Sleeve has no rips/tears, no seem splits, no edge wear, no writing and no sleeve creases. The original soft PVC inner sleeve, displays typical creases but with no seem splits, overall in VERY GOOD condition.
Playing surfaces and matrix areas retain the full original glossy sheen, difficult to see but displays one small (possible spindle made) scuff mark at 5 o’clock on the B-side across tracks 2, 3 and 4. There are no other immediate/obvious visible surface scuffs/marks, but does have some smooth soft, barely visible, feather light, surface scuffs, which only show up when angled and viewed closely under a strong bright light. Graded visually as in VERY GOOD+ condition. *Record plays EXCELLENT on both sides, emits a clean sound throughout with no loud/audible background surface noise (crackles or clicks). Does have minor touches of low level surface noise in odd/occasional places when played, but leans very much towards minimal.
