Description
- The Beatles released "Something New" in July 1964 on Capitol Records. The album spent 9 weeks at No. 2 behind the soundtrack to "A Hard Day's Night." Although it's filled with earworms, the only single was the double-sided release of "Matchbox" and "Slow Down."
- This copy of (ST-2108) is from a 1978 repressing and is in excellent condition. The cover still has its gloss and shows only the slightest wear and is Near-Mint for a 43-year-old album. Please see the pictures. The disc test plays perfectly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I rate vintage vinyl. It was mastered by Maurice Long at Capitol and this copy was pressed at the Capitol Records plant in Winchester, Virginia. The Side One dead wax is etched ST-1-2108-H23 ? ML#2 ?? and stamped MASTERED BY CAPITOL.
- This album will come with its original paper sleeve and a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
