Description
The Beatles - SONGS, PICTURES AND STORIES is a 1964 Mono LP release on the Vee Jay label # VJ 1092.
The tremendous success of the Beatles in 1964 led to numerous repackagings of their material by the independent labels that had taken a chance on them early on when Capitol, their nominal American label, initially passed on its option in 1963. While it still controlled American rights to the Beatles' first album, Please Please Me, which it had issued in abridged form as Introducing The Beatles in 1963, Vee Jay now released a slightly different abridgement under the title Songs, Pictures and Stories of the Fabulous Beatles. ("Ask Me Why" and "Please Please Me" were restored, and "Love Me Do" and "P.S. I Love You" deleted).
The half gatefold jacket has sticker residue & a name written on the front and shows wear on the bottom left corner. The record is in VG++ condition. High bidder agrees to pay $4.00 shipping in the U.S.
