Description
The Beatles (The White Album) - An original 1968 Apple first issue numbered 0042475 mono, two vinyl set - PMC 7067/8.
A very good, clean, white mono sleeve, with complete original contents apart from the four photographs of each Beatles member which are early replacements ordered from The Beatles fan club .
It is the original laminated TOP OPENING, mono gatefold sleeve, with the original UK Mono first issue vinyl LP's. It has the original large format double sided lyric poster and the black inner sleeves .
The two records have only light surface marks visible, which do not not affect the play quality. Both vinyl LP's are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, bearing the 'sold in the UK subject to resale . . . .' and 'Mfd in UK' label text. None of the four record labels have the wording 'An E.M.I. Recording'. All four labels are in mint condition.
Disc 1, Side 1 - matrix (stamped serial No. in the centre of the vinyl) - XEX 709 - 1.
Disc 1, Side 2 - matrix (stamped serial No. in the centre of the vinyl) - XEX 710 - 1.
Disc 2, Side 3 - matrix (stamped serial No. in the centre of the vinyl) - XEX 711 - 1.
Disc 2, Side 4 - matrix (stamped serial No. in the centre of the vinyl) - XEX 712 - 1.
The very clean white front, back and inner gatefold panels show only minor signs of record indentation with only one small indentation to the edge of the bottom of the sleeve and a small bump to the top R.H. corner .
The embossed words 'THE BEATLES' and the printed number 0042475 are very clear . The inside of the sleeve is in perfect condition and the opening edges of the gatefold are in very good condition.
The spine of the sleeve is also in very good condition, with only minor laminate flaking.
The four replacement full colour photographs are fairly early ones in relation to the Album release date , and have 'Printed in the USA' in the bottom left hand corner.
The large format double sided lyric poster printed by 'Garrod and Lofthouse', is also in near mint condition, apart from a dried out spillage in the top right corner of the picture side of the poster, but however , this does not show through to the lyric side of the poster .
Both discs play through all the tracks, with good Mono sound quality. A brilliant quality recording.
This is an exceptional quality low numbered 'White Album', one of the most influential albums ever recorded. A must for any Beatles fan/collector.
We will post the album First Class Recorded post within 48 hours of receiving cleared payment.
