A NICE CONDITION EXAMPLE ALL COMPONENTS IN THIS COMPLETE SET ARE 100% ORIGINAL, ALL INSERTS ARE THE ORIGINAL INSERTS AS SUPPLIED WITH THE ALBUM IN 1968.
Considered to be one of most INFLUENTIAL and ICONIC Albums of the 20th Century, this is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK Apple ** FIRST ISSUE STEREO** TWO Vinyl LP Set for The Beatles White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.
This Set is 100% COMPLETE, and in superb condition with, TWO ORIGINAL UK FIRST ISSUE STEREO VINYL LPs, Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS one of each Beatle, an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two ORIGINAL MATT BLACK INNER BAGS. The set is housed within its ORIGINAL, First Issue, Fully Laminated TOP OPENING, No.0495614 GATEFOLD Sleeve, printed ‘Stereo’ to the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve.
LP Description/Condition:
The two First Issue STEREO Vinyl LPs are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, all bearing the ‘Sold in UK Subject to resale.…’, Sides 1&2 of the vinyl discs are printed **WITH** the, E.M.I. Recording Reference, and sides 3&4 of the vinyl discs are **WITHOUT** the EMI Recording reference, and with ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels. All four record labels are also printed with the wording STEREO.
All four record labels in superb Excellent condition, clean and undamaged record labels, vivid Black Print, showing several light signs of play to the centre of all four record labels.
Sides 1 & 2 of the vinyl discs are in superb Excellent condition, the vinyl disc still retains it’s gloss shine, there are NO scratches or scuffs to any of the surfaces, just a couple of surface hairlines.
Sides 3 & 4 of the vinyl discs are in very nice Excellent Minus condition, the vinyl disc still retains it’s gloss shine, with just light surface hairline scratches, none of which sound when played.
Disc 1, Side 1 matrix YEX 709-1 & Side 2: YEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 4 OG & Side 2 stampers are: 2 OR.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: YEX 711-1 & Side 4: YEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 2 H & Side 4 stampers: 1 RG.
The TWO Vinyl LPs come in their ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in Very Good condition, the bags do have some light inevitable creasing, and small tears.
….And are housed in it’s ORIGINAL, FULLY LAMINATED Garrod and Lofthouse GATEFOLD Sleeve. This FIRST ISSUE Sleeve is TOP OPENING and NUMBERED 0495614, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed and printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal black and white portraits of each of The Beatles together with the track listing, the top right hand corner of the reverse of the sleeve is clearly printed ‘Stereo’.
The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve is in really nice Excellent Plus to Near Mint condition. This is a FIRM, CLEAN, WHITE GLOSSY sleeve throughout, with only very mild record storage signs, the back panel is beautiful and white. The inner gatefold is in Near Mint condition. The spine edge is firm, with a small area of flaking to the laminate, and light rub marks, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘clearly readable. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, all corners are undamaged.
There are Four ORIGINAL Full Colour GLOSSY PHOTOGRAPHS – one of each Beatle - All four photos are all in Near Mint condition, with NO tearing or pinholes.
And an ORIGINAL Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric POSTER printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in Excellent Plus condition, the poster has no pin holes.
Play Quality:
Having played both LPs, all FOUR sides play without major faults throughout all the tracks, there are NO skips, just mild baclground crackle during the tracks, otherwise a nice stereo sound quality.
This is complete and very nice original 1968 Beatles White Album Stereo 2 LP set, 100% complete with all it’s original inserts that came with it when issued back in1968, guaranteed.
