This is the first issue of The Beatles 1968 Rare **mono** White Album double LP set complete with all inserts.

Considered to be one of most Influential and Iconic Albums of the 20th Century, this is an original 1968 UK Apple Records ** FIRST ISSUE MONO** two vinyl LP Set for The Beatles 1968 White Album, entitled ‘The BEATLES’.

This Set is 100% COMPLETE, and has a top opening, undamaged Gatefold Sleeve with, two original UK first issue mono LPs, Four original Full Colour glossy photographs – one of each Beatle, an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse, Two original 1968 Black inner record bags. The set is housed within its original, First Issue, Fully Laminated top opening numbered, No.0029004, Gatefold Sleeve.

LP Description/Condition:

The two First Issue mono Vinyl LPs are on the traditional Dark Green Apple label, all with the ‘Sold in UK label text, all four sides of the record labels are **WITHOUT** the, E.M.I. Recording Reference, and with ‘Mfd. In UK’ label text to all four record labels.

All four record labels in superb Excellent condition, clean, undamaged record labels, clear Black Print, showing several signs of play to the centre spindle holes on each label.

Disc 1, Side 1 matrix XEX 709-1 & Side 2: XEX 710-1.
Disc 1, Side 1 stampers: 7 GRT & Side 2 stampers are: 3 GDG.
Disc 2, Side 3 matrix: XEX 711-1 & Side 4: XEX 712-1.
Disc 2, Side 3 stampers: 2 RH & Side 4 stampers: 1 A.

The wording, Ringo, George, John and Paul are hand etched into the trail out area on side 1.

All four sides of the vinyl discs are in Very Good condition, the vinyl discs show several surface hairlines scratches, a couple of which are light and feelable.

Having played both LPs, all four sides play well throughout all the tracks, there are no skips or distortion, just a few light clicks, and some light background crackle.

Each LP comes in their original Matt Black Die Cut Inner Bags which are in undamaged, preserved Excellent condition, the bags do have some light inevitable creasing, but no tears or seam splits to either bag.

….And are housed in it’s original Garrod and Lofthouse Gatefold Sleeve. This first issue sleeve is Top Opening and numbered 0029004, printed to the lower portion of the front of the sleeve. The wording ‘The BEATLES’ is embossed and printed a little way up above the number. The sleeve opens out to reveal Black and White Images of each of Beatle, together with the song track listing.

The Original Fully Laminated Gatefold sleeve with a wider spine edge is in Excellent condition. The sleeve is firm, clean, and glossy, with no creases, no ring wear, and just light LP storage signs, there is also age toning to the sleeve.

The inner gatefold of the sleeve is in superb condition with mild age toning, the reverse panel shows mild LP storage. The wider spine edge shows age toning and laminate flaking, the printed wording ‘The Beatles, Stereo PCS 7067-8, Mono PMC 7067-8‘is legible. There are NO seam splits to any of the edges, all corners are undamaged.

There are Four original Full Colour Glossy Photographs – one of each Beatle - All four Photographs are all in Mint Minus condition, with NO tearing or pinholes.

And includes an original Large Format, Double Sided, Lyric/Picture Poster printed by Garrod and Lofthouse which is in undamaged Mint Minus condition, the poster is superb, with no pin holes or tears.

Beatles White Albums in this condition rarely come onto the market, this one is an above average example. Guaranteed 100% Original with all Original inserts.
