Description
THE BEATLES - THE WHITE ALBUM ( U.K. MONO 1st PRESSING )
THIS IS A MONO 1st PRESSING OF THIS CLASSIC ALBUM WITH TOP-OPENING GATEFOLD SLEEVE, BLACK INNER SLEEVES, VISIBLE FLAPS INSIDE THE GATEFOLD SLEEVE AND DARK GREEN LABELS WITH "SOLD IN THE U.K..." LABEL TEXT. THIS COPY IS NUMBERED 0049654. PLEASE NOTE, THIS COPY DOES NOT HAVE THE POSTER OR COLOUR PRINTS.
THE VINYL IS IN EXCELLENT- CONDITION. GLOSSY VINYL. UNDER STRONG LIGHT A FEW SURFACE HAIRLINES ARE VISIBLE AND THERE ARE SOME VERY OCCASIONAL VERY LIGHT CRACKLES BUT THESE DO NOT DETRACT FROM THE GREAT SOUND.
THE FULLY LAMINATED GATEFOLD SLEEVE IS IN VERY GOOD+ CONDITION. IT IS MAINLY EXCELLENT WITH GLOSSY LAMINATE AND AN UNMARKED BOTTOM EDGE. THE LAMINATE ON THE SPINE HAS SPLIT IN TWO PLACES AT THE TOP DUE TO THE SLEEVE BEING OPENED AND THE IS SOME YELLOWING BUT THE SPINE TEXT IS CLEAR. THERE IS SOME YELLOWING AROUND THE EDGES OF THE SLEEVE AND, ON THE LEFT OF THE BACK COVER, THERE ARE SOME LIGHT SURFACE MARKS SEEMINGLY CAUSED BY THE ALBUM BEING RESTED AGAINST THE FLIPBACK TAB OF ANOTHER ALBUM. THE INSIDE OF THE GATEFOLD IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION WITH CRISP, CLEAN FLIPBACK TABS AND JUST SOME LIGHT YELLOWING AROUND THE EDGES.
THE BLACK PAPER INNER SLEEVES HAVE NO SPLITS ON THE EDGES ALTHOUGH ONE HAS A SMALL TEAR RUNNING FROM THE DIE-CUT HOLE AND ANOTHER SMALL TEAR RUNNING FROM ONE SIDE OF THE SLEEVE OPENING.
THE LABELS ARE IN EXCELLENT+ CONDITION.

ALL THE ALBUMS I SELL ARE VERY SECURELY PACKAGED WITH AT LEAST TWO STIFFENERS AND NEW PLASTIC SLEEVES. I ALWAYS PLACE THE VINYL OUTSIDE THE OUTER COVER TO AVOID DAMAGING THE COVER IN TRANSIT. I ONLY USE THE HIGHEST GRADE PACKAGING TO ENSURE THE RECORDS ARRIVE IN THE CONDITION I STATE IN MY LISTINGS.
Grading
I grade all my records using the Record Collector's Grading System which is as follows:
Mint - The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Excellent - The record shows signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Very Good - The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
Good - The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits discoloration etc.
Fair - The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/ or defaced.
Poor - The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
Packaging
Items are sent in new plastic sleeves and high quality, professional record packaging, with at least four stiffeners for protection.
