The Beatles- The Collection.

Here is the wonderful complete Beatles albums collection on EMI/MFSL Original Master Recordings issue. This great box-set consists of the bands historic albums on 14-LP's:

Please Please Me, With The Beatles, Hard Day's Night, Beatles for Sale, Help!, Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, White Album (2-LPs), Yellow Submarine, Abbey Road, Magical Mystery Tour, Let It Be.

The box got wet and went through artistic restoration - hence the its price.

This set includes of the following additional items:

The Geo-Disc calibration cartridge, housed in its original informative cardboard sleeve - cartridge and sleeve. The sleeve is slightly water-damaged, but the Geo-Disk is plastic and in perfect condition.

The albums' covers art-work/information booklet is damaged to an extent that our restorator could not fix - however, perhaps a more experienced one could help salvage some of it. All of the pages are stuck together, and as far as we're concerned, we are selling the box without the booklet - we're only putting it in because of the serial number. See photo.

In the first page of the booklet is the limited-edition cetificate of authenticity hand numbered at # 11,080 ;

All 14 LP's are housed in 3 protective layers: the outer cardboard sleeve featuring actual master-tape details photo-print, the inner folding-cardboard MFSL sleeve, and the fine-touch rice-paper inner-sleeve. Some of the sleeves got wet as well, but the damages are mostly slight water stains and a very light waviness. Please see photos.

We tried to be as harsh and as thorough with the grading as possible! We also took many other photos of each cover, but we cannot upload all of them to eBay. There are about 40 more photos. If you are interested and wish to see them, please contact us!

The discs themselves grade at pristine NM+.

It seems like the previous owner wrote the number of each LP in pencil on the inside of each cover and each sleeve, and then erased them. They are slightly visible - see last photo.

Cover: VG++ some creasing near the opening, overall very good condition.

Cover: VG - slightly wavy, the opening is slightly water-damaged, worn margins in general.

Cover: VG+ - the cover is very slightly wavy, but has no stains. Some creases.

Cover: VG+ - slightly wavy, no stains, slightly worn edges, small creases near margins.

Cover: VG++/EX (overall great condition, some wearing on the bottom right corner of the front cover)

Cover: one of the wet covers, wavy and has a rather prominent water stain on the front and another on the back. There's a crease near the opening, also because of the water.

Cover: VG++ (only slightly wavy, very lightly worn edges)

14. Let It Be

Cover: VG - one of the wet covers; it's slightly wavy and there is a water stain on the front. The spine is rather damaged as well.

Grading is based on a careful visual inspection of the record's surface, labels and cover (unless 'play-test' is noted). Grading scale is as follows:

SS- Still Sealed

NM- (Near Mint)- The vinyl surface will be near perfect. Only few light negligible signs of use might be spotted under direct bright light. The Cover should also be close to perfect with the option of only the smallest flaws that are not noticed unless really looked for. I might use (+) and (-) to be more specific within the range of NM grade.

VG++ (Very Good plus plus)- surface of the vinyl will show only mild signs of use. Few light hairlines, marks, dots, paper-scuffs may be appear-able under light but in any way not affecting the quality of the sound. The cover over-all appearance will be excellent. On closer inspection the occasional touch of ring-wear, seam-wear, light crease, small stain might be found, but again, nothing that really “stands-out to the eye”.

VG+ (Very Good plus)- surface of the vinyl will show more noticeable signs of use such as a light scratch, ding, scuff, hairlines etc. Anyway, those defects will be mostly cosmetic and the deterioration of sound quality would still be subtle if at all felt. The occasional pop and crackle might be heard on the quieter parts and between tracks but could just as well be related to the record needing a good clean. Cover will show more noticeable flaws such as creasing, seam-wear, ring-wear, stickers, aging-signs etc. But all these would still be rather light and the over-all appearance of the cover should be very good.

VG (Very Good)- This is the grading for a record that's lost a more substantial part of its sound quality. More extensive evidence of careless handling of the record will be present visually and affect sound quality in the form of occasional pops, crackle, ticks, jumps etc. The cover will appear somewhat worn-out even to the naked eye. Stains, over-all wear and creasing might be present and even a small tear...

VG- (Very Good minus)- This is used for really bad looking records. I will not list items in this condition unless they are very very rare and valuable or I find them to have some other cultural value apart from their usual use.
