THE BEATLES Twist and Shout EP IRELAND Red Parlophone Irish 1st UK SLEEVE
The Beatles, Twist and Shout.
Original Ireland pressed Parlophone Records 7" mono EP housed in UK picture sleeve, GEP (I) 8882.
Earliest red label issue with 2N/1N matrix suffixes.
Vinyl visually a strong VG. Surfaces are still glossy but display some light hairline scuff marks. Spindle wear is light and not excessive.
Plays an overall VG. Some background crackle but this mostly behind the loud and bright cut. A1 nearer EX, A2 VG, B1 and B2 around G with background crackle a little more obtrusive.
Labels are clean and undefaced.
Sleeve around VG minus. The laminated front panel is still very clean and bright. The matt rear panel is somewhat grubby and has a noticeable ringwear darkening circle. Some ringwear impression to front, this mild, and some corner creasing. The top rear of the sleeve has a strip of sellotape affixed with printed text "Record pressed in Eire", as issued. The sellotape has yellowed somewhat. Rear backflaps are intact and tidy.
