THE BEATLES Twist and Shout UK PARLOPHONE EP 1N/1N 1st No Sold In The UK MPTK
The Beatles, Twist and Shout.
Original 1963 UK Parlophone Records 7" mono EP housed in picture sleeve, GEP 8880.
First issue evidenced by capitalized Parlophone text rims and "Recording First Published" but no "Sold in UK" text to labels. Has a transitional MPKT tax code embossed to the B side label but the more usual KT is stamped to the dead wax/run-offs of both sides. Earliest 1N/1N matrix suffixes.
Vinyl visually a strong VG. Surfaces are still glossy but display some light hairline scuff marks. Spindle wear is light and not excessive.
Play grades a conservative VG plus. Some minor background crackle, but this very infrequent and much plays EX.
Labels are clean and undefaced and still have a good gloss.
Sleeve a strong VG. Front and rear panels are still bright and clean. Free of loss, stickers, inscriptions etc. The predominantly white rear is very clean and white still. A touch of ringwear impression both sides, including disc outline impression. Laminate is intact and tidy with no lifting or air pocketing. Rear backflaps are intact and tidy. Edges are clean and tidy and entry side is not unduly worn or feathered.
Although not mint, this is still a very nice example and has survived in much better condition than is the norm.
