Description
The Beatles vinyl LP - Please Please Me - 3rd UK stereo pressing, with small 33 1/3 on the labels, from 1963 on Parlophone, catalogue number PCS 3042, matrix numbers YEX 94-1 and YEX 95-1, mother stampers 1 P and 1 G. There is no letter N at the end of the matrix numbers - see pictures.

The record has lots of surface marks/light scratches, and would probably grade somewhere between VG- and G+. having said that it plays pretty well, with no jumping or sticking, but there is quite a lot of clicking, more so on side 1. Regular clicks are audible through Anna, Chains, Ask Me Why and A Taste Of Honey especially, less so during other tracks. There are no heavy or deep scratches, and although it has been cleaned with my Okki Nokki record cleaning machine, perhaps another clean or two may improve it. I will do that in the next few days, and either amend the listing here, or add additional comments to it. The record was quite dirty when I bought it, so there may be dirt in the grooves causing the clicks, rather than scratches, most of which cannot be felt when you run a finger over the surface.
The outer sleeve is EX-/VG+. Generally very clean, it has a slight dish-shaped curve to it, as on of the pictures shows, there are edge creases, scuffs at the corners, and a few pen marks towards the bottom corner of the back. But there is no major damage, and I have seen many worse examples of this sleeve. The Emitex inner sleeve is creased, especially at the bottom corners, but the poly lining is still firmly in place, and there are no tears or edge splits.

If there has been any improvement, it is minimal, and there is still plenty of clicking throughout the LP, more so in the tracks mentioned above.
