VERY RARE CAPITOL RECORD CLUB RELEASE
BLACK CAPITOL RAINBOW LABEL
STEREO
This is the very scarce Capitol Record Club Black Label with the rainbow color band released in Stereo, pressed in 1969 or so. There is also a green label release which came later and is not as collectible as the black label. These exclusive record club issues are identified by the 3 slanted black lines in the upper left corner of the cover, and also the text... "Manufactured under license from Capitol Records..." on the back cover and on the disc labels. The special ST 8-2047 number is unique to this release as it differs from the standard commercial issues. These special versions were only available to members of the Capitol Record Club.

VINYL:
This LP has been played but has been cared for. Visible storage scuffing can be seen and perhaps some seeable but not feelable light scratching. Very clean appearance with the exceptions noted above. We do not listen to the entire LP but a sampling confirms aurally what the eye sees visually: Great copy. In listening on the seller's system it is easy to detect that this LP was recorded in Mono and obviously remastered in Stereo as there are a few stereo versions available. Bidders and buyers will probably agree that the Mono version of this landmark LP are much better as far as listening. The attraction to this listing is the rarity of Club copies. Labels show spindle scarring but are pretty good overall. Generic white inner.
COVER:
Carefully stored and properly protected, this cover has a few notable blemishes which will be noted here. First the front cover presents very well. Some ring wear, some other general wear but the front looks good as the photos confirm. As for the rear cover, the original owner made marks by the title listings and also placed his initials on the back left side. These are visible via the photos. Some minor edge and corner wear might be detected by the photos. Also the photos will show approximate 4" seam splits on both the top and bottom openings. Not ugly but noted here as they are clearly important condition issues.

This is particularly important with international purchases as the value of the final price effects the method of shipment. See below.
Our refund policy is based on total buyer satisfaction so we only refund full payment upon return. We do not offer post purchase partial refunds. As our listings always include clear photos and audio, the responsibility for return postage is with the buyer.
SHIPPING:
USPS is our carrier. We ship Media Mail domestically in the US. We do combine shipping on US shipping but that is not always an option with International. We use 1st International but there are limits on weight so please await an invoice should you purchase more than one item.
