THE BEATLES
"From Me To You" b/w "Thank You Girl" RARE! 1963 BEATLES second US single credited to the group. The first version of the song to hit the US charts was the Del Shannon cover in summer '63 which made it into the Top 40 on many regional charts. The Beatles record failed to chart at all nationally in the US and the 1963 pressing is very scarce. In 1964 however, "From Me To You" was reissued as the B-side to "Please Please Me" and of course then it went straight to #1.
This has been played a lot and probably not kept a sleeve, so there is a lot of surface and play wear, label wear, etc. Both sides play fine and overall sound OK with the expected surface noise and distortion associated with a record that's been played a lot. 'Melinda' clearly wrote her name and '1964' on the paper sleeve in marker that the record was in, which bled through and onto the playing surface of "Thank You Girl". There is no way on earth to get that out, but it does not affect playability whatsoever. There is similar but less surface marker stains and writing on the "From Me To You" label.
This is another one of those must-have records for any serious Beatles collection. The original 1963 VJ 'Singles Of Significance' sleeve is in nice shape.
OVERALL visually 'poor' condition due to the marker stains, plays fine.
LOOK THE PICTURES OVER CAREFULLY, WHAT YOU SEE IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU GET! IT WILL BE PACKED TO SURVIVE POSTAL BATTLES AND SHIPPED PROMPTLY.
DUE TO PROBLEMS WITH USPS & SPECIFICALLY INTERNATIONAL DELIVERIES WE ARE NOT PRESENTLY ACCEPTING ORDERS FROM OUTSIDE OF THE USA. FOREIGN CUSTOMERS ARE ADVISED TO USE A US FORWARDING COMPANY OR US RESIDENT ADDRESS FOR DELIVERY DESTINATION. US ADDRESSES ONLY.
